Biography
Michael is an experienced graduate Sports Therapist, Soft-Tissue Therapist and academic, with research interests in injury prevention, swimming, soft tissue manipulation, dance medicine and physical education.

As Managing Director of STARinjuries.com - founded in 2001 - he has over 10 years experience working with both elite and recreational sports persons and clubs using total injury management (the prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and education of musculoskeletal sports injuries) and performance enhancement (using exercise science).

Michael has also worked in education for over 10 years leading Sports Massage Therapy qualifications whilst nearing completion of a MSc in Sports Pedagogy at Loughborough University. Michael also Externally Verifies and Moderates for two leading awarding bodies.

Michael has worked nationally and internationally with elite athletes, and since 2010 with Team GB Swimming at training camps and tournaments nationally and internationally, at both Junior and Senior levels. He has consulted widely on the preparation and rehabilitation of athletes to a number of elite organisations including Queens Park Rangers Football Club; UK Athletics; The Sports Academy; Elite Football; Performers College; and Objective Sports Management.

'Mickey' also manages Sports Medicine on Screen, providing exercise science and sports medical guidance to the entertainment industry. Clients have included Nike, Sky One, Iceland, Sky Sports and 118-118.

Michael has extensive experience working with television/film production companies and with elite artistes from the performing arts industry, including actors and professional dancers from such diverse productions as The Rocky Horror Show, Cats, X Factor, Glyndebourne Operas and with graduates of Middlesex University, Stonelands, East 15, Performers College, Legat and Rambert.

Michael has keen personal interests in 10km running, football, rock-climbing, tennis and squash.
