Michael is a Sports Therapy Consultant who achieved the BSc (Hons) Degree in Sports Therapy in 2001 (aged 20) after gaining the Diploma in Sports Therapy in 2000 in London. On graduation, he became an insured, full member of The Society of Sports Therapists and founded STaR. He continues as its Clinical Director today, whilst also working towards a MSc at Loughborough University .


Michael also manages Sports Medicine on Screen  (the first dedicated Sports Therapy & Sports Medical Consultancy for the screen industry) and provides the HSE recommended Emergency First Aid (EFAW) training .

Michael has over  10 years experience with athletes of all abilities and at his private clinic he specialises in total injury management (the prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and education of musculoskeletal sports injuries) and performance enhancement (using exercise science).

Since graduation he has worked with numerous clubs including Queens Park Rangers FC and with elite athletes from professional football, athletics, weightlifting, tennis, golf (using the Performance Stability Golf Matrix), dance and triathlon. At present, he is also a consultant for Objective Sports Management Ltd (click here to see examples of STaR's past clients). Michael's hobbies include:
Football - He was College & University Captain and has played for Nations FC, Danbury FC and The Old Brentwoods FC and trained with Tamworth FC. He has also spent time coaching in the USA.
Running - Recently finishing the Southend 10km in 41:10.
Squash, tennis, rock-climbing and table-tennis are his other pursuits, as are watching movies, listening to music
and reading.
CPD - Regular research and attendance at conferences, seminars and workshops to ensure he stays up-to-date with current sports medicine research and maintains
evidence-based practice.
